Supporting care. Preventing cruelty. Improving animals’ lives.

BERLAWT—the Beryl Evetts and Robert Luff Animal Welfare Trust—is a grant-making charity dedicated to protecting animals and relieving suffering. Registered in 1982, we support charitable organisations working to prevent cruelty and care for animals affected by illness, mistreatment or difficult circumstances.

We believe animals deserve kindness, protection and appropriate care. Through our grants, we help animal welfare organisations carry out the work that puts these principles into practice. Our purpose is simple: to help animals in need by supporting the organisations working on their behalf.

Our trustees oversee the Trust’s work and resources, keeping our charitable purpose at the heart of our decisions. Across everything we support, our commitment remains the same: preventing suffering and helping animals receive the care they need.
